Emilea's Cabin
Emileas's Cabin located in Mufreesboro Tn investigated on Jan 11, 2003. Upon entering
the Reastraunt we were led upstairs to unpack our gear. Then we were led downstairs to
have dinner before doing our full investgation. We were led from room to room to get a
feel of our surrondings and to see what we felt in each room. After being shown around
we were taken to our table that we had dinner at and were able to have the owner Dottie
sit and talk with us about the things that she had experienced. The following will be
notes that each of us experienced while there.
Sharon's notes: Upon entering the Reastraunt I could feel that there was a presence
there. I had uncomfortable feelings upstairs in the first room where they store food and
also prepare food. Also at one time there was a Church group that used this room for
worship. I felt some uncomfortable feelings in the office area downstairs and some in the
kitchen area and quite a bit in the downstairs area where we had dinner that night.
Debbie's notes: Upon entering the Reastraunt I could feel a presence upstairs. Espically
in the second room upstairs,in the office downstairs,in the kitchen area,and in the dining
room where we had dinner and I had a choking feeling between the kitchen area and the
dining area. I felt a mix of positive and negative activity.
Dottie's Report : The owner of the Reastraunt Dottie reports that she has experienced
seeing a white light near the babys playpen at the foot of the stairs, which seemed to
dissapear up the stairs, these are the set of stairs that are visible to people dining on the
left side of the entrance. Also she reports to have been making Christmas baskets with a
friend of her's named Cheree,while doing so they both witinessed a basket levitate off of
one of the tables,it only levitated for a moment and then dropped back down. She also
reports that she has never had any bad or negative feelings while being there, even late at
night. She also reports that her employees have heard and seen things while working. She
also reported that noone in the reastraunt has ever had an accident or ever been hurt
there.
Lori : Reastraunt employee report: Hears noises upstairs only and was up there when she
says that she saw a black shadow.
Betsy : Reastraunt employee report: Saw a little girl upstairs during the day when noone
was upstairs in July of 2002.
Chris : Reastraunt employee report: Refidgerator and computer went haywire around
1:00 am before closing. This was in Nov 2002.
While I Sharon questioned her about the furnishings of the reastraunt she stated that the
items that are there such as booths,nicknacks etc... had come from lots of diffrent places
and that some of them were antique and some of them had come from diffrent places
from all around the united states.Some of the booths had come from a cafe in Sunset Blv
in California.
Lots of strange things happened while we were here on this trip. One of the first things
that seemed a bit strange was while we were having dinner the owners fixed us a nice fire
to sit by. While we ate and about half way through dinner a huge flame bursted up into
the air and the logs rolled out onto the hearth.Other strange things happened as well while
we were upstairs with the ouija board. We all heard a sound as if someone or something
was downstairs so we all jumped up to see what it was,this sound that we heard was
very alarming to us so we went downstairs just to make sure no one was in the
building.Upon walking down the set of stairs that led downstairs into the kitchen I
noticed that the back door on the side was unlocked and pushed open about 4inches and
I quickly pushed it closed and immediatly began to check the rest of the doors downstairs
and also looked around to make sure that noone was in the building other than us.While
looking around we also noticed that a small table with a ceramic top seemed to have been
moved into the middle of the room where just a little while ago we knew it wasn't
there,and a rocking chair had also seemed to change positions.This was somewhat
unnerving because the door was open when we came downstairs.However noone was in
the building other than us and everything appeared to be ok so we went back upstairs to
continue our ouija session.Once we started with the ouija session again we began to hear
the same sound that we had heard before so again we quickly went back downstairs to
do a double check of everything and to double check all the doors to the reastraunt.While
checking the doors again we came across a door that only a few moments ago we had
checked and it too was unlocked and opened in our hands.At this time everyone began to
become extreamly unnerved,It seemed very odd and seemed to be that something was
playing tricks or trying to make us uneasy as if to say hey I'm here. However with all of
the uneasy things that happened we do not think that the spirit that dwells here is a
harmful spirit and beleive that the owner has nothing to worry about as she and her
husband have always been comfortable here in their place of work. Our group has not
made any sure fire decissions as to who it might be that dwells there in their reastraunt
with them but whoever it is we do beleive that they are watching out over them. As
Dottie said before noone has ever been hurt while in their reastraunt and this includes
employees.No grease burns nothing like that so we think that whoever it is , is there to
protect them and likes them and we think that this spirit likes where they are. One thing
that had bothered them was that they were concerned that their two yr old had reported
seeing a monstor in the building but we beleive that this might have been a form that the
spirit took just so that it could protect the child from some type of harm for instance
maybe the child was going to do something that could have hurt her and the only way
that the spirit could get her attention was to take a monstor form to stop the child from
moving into a position to hurt her. And the uneasy feelings that we were getting may
have come from an outsider.We did however also feel that the spirt deffinatly knew that
we where there to try to make contact and that it was somewhat uneasy with our
presence but wasn't going to hurt us in any way. But it did want to make it's presence
known to us and just for the record that it most deffinatly did that.
